Staff Development and Curriculum Services - Staff Members


Ann Maguire is the Director of the Staff Curriculum Development Support Services Division. The Director of Staff and Curriculum Development at the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES is responsible for the design, delivery, and quality control of professional development programs for the 27 component school districts. The Director's division includes Data Management, Special Education Training and Resource Center (SETRC), School Improvement Program, Comprehensive Health and Wellness, Project Know, Growing Healthy, and Science Kits.
Linda Finn is the Coordinator for Comprehensive Health and Wellness at E2CCB. As Coordinator, she oversees the elementary health curriculum, Project KNOW, and Interscholastic Coaching. In addition, she also coordinates the Child Abuse Identification and Reporting courses and the S.A.V.E. legislation trainings. Linda has served in the Coordinator position for three years. She has been teaching sexuality education for the past thirteen years. Her previous teaching experience also includes English as a Second Language at the Middle School and adult levels. Linda holds a New York State Pre-K-6 teaching certificate. She attended St. Bonaventure University as an undergraduate and holds a B.A. degree in Human Services, as well as a M.A. in Social Policy from the State University of New York. As an active community member, Linda serves as a BOCES’ representative on many advisory boards for local agencies including the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club and the Chautauqua County Health Department. In April of 2005, she received the Buffalo Business First’s Health Care Hero in Education Award. Linda resides in Kennedy with her husband Andy and son Ryan.
Theresa Gray is the Coordinator for the School Improvement Program at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. As coordinator, she oversees the development of regional workshops and works with school districts in providing professional development. In addition to her role as Coordinator, Theresa also serves the North Collins Central School District as a K-12 Curriculum Coordinator. In addition to being a certified Secondary Social Studies teacher with seven years experience at the middle level, Theresa also holds an administrative degree (SDA) and is a Fellow with the Center for the Study of Expertise in Teaching and Learning (CSETL). Theresa concentrates her work in the areas of curriculum development, new teacher and mentor teacher training, reading and writing in the content areas, and is a national trainer for Step Up to Writing, Six + 1 Traits of Writing, and Schools Attuned. She also serves as the regional representative of the Middle Level Liaisons.
Candi DiBiase is a Staff Development Specialist for the School Improvement Program and focuses much of her work in the area of mathematics and has provided content information, instructional support, and assessment information to many of the 27 component school districts served by Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. Candi has mathematics classroom experience at the middle and high school levels, as well as extensive experience in statistics and data analysis. Additionally, she is the Middle Level Representative for the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS) and is an active member of the NYS K-8 mathematics Mentor Network. In the past year she was also selected to participate in the NYS Test Specification Committee and Range Finding Sessions in preparation for Math 3-8 testing. Candi’s education includes a B.S. in Statistics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a B.S. in Mathematics, Secondary Education from the State College of New York at Buffalo, M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and Administrative Certification (SDA) from the State University College at Fredonia.
Jeff Barnes is a Data Management Specialist for Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, a role which includes software support, training, facilitation of data driven staff development meetings and collaboration with local entities (the Seneca Nation, SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Buffalo, etc.) on data driven research or grant projects. He is also the liaison for the Western New York Regional Information Center Cognos Data Warehouse Cooperative Service. In addition to his work in the field of data, Jeff works with the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES School Improvement Program assisting districts in areas such as curriculum mapping and differentiated instruction. He is currently a participant in the 16th class of the National Staff Development Council (NSDC) Academy. Jeff has permanent NYS Teacher Certification in 7-12 Social Studies. Jeff and his wife Christine have two sons, Thomas and Zachary.
Michele Boutwell has been a Professional Development Specialist since 1994. Prior to that assignment, she was a special education teacher and a CSE/CPSE chairperson. She has been an Orton-Gillingham tutor for over seven years. Before becoming a special educator, she was a regular education middle school teacher.
Garry Dole is the Coordinator for the Science Resources Program at Erie 2 – Chautauqua – Cattaraugus BOCES. He is responsible for the Elementary Science Kit Program and the Middle Level Science Kit Program. The kit programs serve about 35,000 students in the Western New York area. As Coordinator, Garry provides half or whole-day in-service training to teachers before they receive kits in their classrooms as well as routine program functions, including scheduling kit shipments, materials inventory, purchasing, bids, and curriculum. Garry has teaching experience at the High School and University levels. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Houghton College, an Ed. M. from SUNY, Buffalo and holds NY State certification as a teacher of General Science, Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry. Garry serves as a member of the NYS Science Education Consortium, the SED Elementary Science Assessment Liaison, NYS Science Education Leadership Association, Science Teachers Association of New York State, Elementary SAR for Southwestern STANYS, BaP Key leader, and National Science Teachers Association.
Christine Cutler is a Staff Development Specialist with the School Improvement Program at Erie 2-Chautauqua Cattaraugus BOCES. Christine’s certifications have brought many opportunities to teach English Language Arts at multiple grade levels. Having begun her instructional career at the community college level, she has additional classroom teaching experience K-12 as well as Gifted and Talented Programming, Library Media Specialist and Reading Specialist. Christine has facilitated Strategic Planning Action Teams and developed curriculum for the Native Studies Program, written curricular maps in math and social studies incorporating ELA skills. Christine has earned a B.A. in English from the State University of New York at Fredonia, a Masters in Elementary Education/Reading and holds New York State certification in School District Administration having completed an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Canisius College in Buffalo.
