The new graduation requirements, approved by the Board of Regents, are designed to ensure that all students continue to have access to opportunities in Career & Technical Education. Career & Technical Education is presently offered in more than 34 program areas to eligible high school students and adults. Coursework is organized in a competency format with both theory and hands-on experiences. Programs prepare graduates, through skill development and integrated/specialized courses, for employment, college study or apprenticeships. The curriculum is assessed against national industry standards and meets the New York State Learning Standards.
